Music would not exist without rhythm. In this section of the course, you will learn more about rhythm notation, which uses noteheads, stems, flags, rests, dots, and ties to indicate pitch duration. You will also learn the basic principles of meter in music through an examination of barlines, measures, time signatures, beaming, and pickups.
