Section 7 Overview

Triads are the foundation of harmony in tonal music. In this section of the course, you will learn how to construct and identify triads, how to determine their quality (major, minor, diminished, or augmented), and how to invert them. You will also learn how to use spacing, doubling, and inversion to create greater harmonic variety. Finally, we will learn how to do basic Roman Numerals and use Figured Bass symbols.
