Meter helps us to follow along with music by creating patterns of strong and weak beats. In this section of the course, you will learn about the various types of musical meter (simple, compound, and irregular) and how beats can be grouped into duple, triple, and quadruple patterns. You will also learn about the time signatures that are used to represent each of these meter types.
